JAB Global Supply Chain Consultancy was founded by Jamie Barugh, a senior supply chain and customs expert with over 25 years experience in freight forwarding, global logistics, and trade compliance. From managing high-volume teams to lecturing at university level, Jamie combines frontline experience with strategic insight to help businesses navigate the fast-evolving world of international trade.
As a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Export and International Trade, Jamie has led operations for major global logistics providers.
He also holds advanced certifications in customs practice, compliance, and supply chain management — underlining a career rooted in both hands-on expertise and professional rigour.
His roles have included leading high-performing customs teams, developing and delivering national training frameworks, overseeing post-Brexit trade operations, launching dedicated customer service departments, and driving operational efficiency while reducing costs across complex logistics environments.
Jamie is also passionate about knowledge-sharing and education.
He has delivered undergraduate and postgraduate lectures at leading University Business Schools, covering a range of topics including managing global logistics and supply chains, international trade finance, multimodal transport solutions, and Incoterms and trade compliance
His approach is practical, insightful, and designed to empower businesses and professionals alike.
